The elders of the Picayune Church of Christ solicit your help to
get families back into their homes.  We will continue to
encourage and supply support, but we will try to move our
congregation back to a level of normalcy.






Picayune , the Hutchinsons have moved into their home.  
They were the last church family in Picayune


Warehouse:  The walls are up but we need
electrical, plumbing, air conditioning,
sprinkler system help.  ***We may
have to cutoff worker support if the
city closes our operation for
ordinance requirements of sprinkler
system and showers.***
Workers from Mt Juliet have framed the interior walls.

The work schedule for the warehouse:
July:                Electrical; plumb bathrooms
May:                 framing
June:                fire wall; HVAC
July:                 sheetrock
August:            finish sheetrock
September:     paint and trim

For those who have tracked Picayune Disaster Relief, Inc, we
got a charitable status from the federal government, but
Mississippi has denied tax-exempt status.  Still, we intend for the
relief efforts to work as we have in the past and  “Picayune
Disaster Relief”  to coordinate workers to job assignments.  The
local church will donate use of facilities to support disaster relief
efforts.   



Long Beach, all the church families have returned to their
homes!


Bay St Louis, There is one (1) family living in  a FEMA
trailers on their property  in Bay St Louis,.  They need assistance
with finish work:  painting, trim, flooring.  There are other families
the Bay St Louis congregation is working to assist and are
looking for
skilled labor.

If you would  like to help one of these families you can contact

Poplarville, A Christian family recently got grant money to
build a home.  The grant does not pay the full cost ant they need
help from volunteers.  If you can help, contact Bob at the church
office in Picayune, 601-798-6437.  Here is a rough schedule for
building:

1 August – begin framing
15 August – roofing; close in structure
1 September – electrical and plumbing; outside siding
15 September – insulation and sheetrock
1 October – finish interior walls

The Mitchells received windows from the stock in Bay St Louis.  
Picayune will help with roofing materials and plumbing fixtures.



Pearlington

Church Building.   Central Tennessee congregations have
taken on getting the building up in Pearlington.  If you would like
to participate in this mission effort, give us a call.

service was held the last Sunday in
May.

Homes.  there are several families in close proximity to the
church building that need some cleanup and general repair; two
need extensive carpentry work.  This is in addition to some on-
going work from people we helped previously; most of this is
putting in cabinets, floors, and finishing walls.Of course, there is
more to do.

Pearlington:  After prayerful deliberation, one of the
churches from central Tennessee will take on Pearlington
as a mission effort.  Picayune remains
committed to
planting a church in Pearlington.  Please pray for this
work.  T
here are 15 to 20 baptized believers from the
Pearlington area worshiping every Sunday in the building.

Christians, members of the Church, to meet their needs.  You

The basic criteria for dispersal of these funds remains as we
originally committed to members of the church.  Any money you
wish to earmark for Pearlington, Long Beach, Bay St Louis, or
even to non-members, you must designate this effort on the
check.

A monthly report will be sent to donors detailing the expenditure
of funds.  Our effort have been to assist members of the church
and we have been true to financial promises, but there are no
funds available to help non-members.
